Electric cars are heavy
A 2300 kg EV does not fit on a 2700 kg transporter with 700 kg unladen weight. That is why unladen weight matters: the TA-NO GRAVITY weighs from 590 kg, the SCORPIO can be configured up to 3500 kg.
Loading without a second person
Gravity tilt (GRAVITY), rollers with safety light beam (SCORPIO) or a 5443 kg electric winch with remote control as standard (FORMULA): one person loads a non-runner alone.
Licence and registration must match
Above a 3500 kg combination you need a BE licence (or B96 up to 4250 kg). The SCORPIO can be registered at any gross weight between 1500 and 3500 kg, in 50 kg steps, so trailer, tow vehicle and your drivers' licences line up.

SCORPIO PREMIUM: choose your own gross weight
Tri-axle, 5.0 to 6.0 m, gross weight configurable from 1500 to 3500 kg in 50 kg steps, so you match the trailer exactly to your tow vehicle and licence. LOHR side cladding, 2 m ramps, rollers with safety light beam and full LED as standard.
FORMULA PREMIUM: hydraulic and complete
Electro-hydraulic tilting aluminium platform with remote control, 5443 kg electric winch with synthetic rope, AIRLINE lashing rails and automatically folding rear light bar as standard. 3000 kg (5.0 m) or 3500 kg tri-axle (6.0 m).
TRIO and SPORT TRANSPORTER
TRIO: 3500 kg tri-axle with 8.5 or 9.0 m aluminium bed for vans, long vehicles or two compact cars. SPORT TRANSPORTER: enclosed, 3500 kg, side flap on gas struts, 3° loading angle with additional ramps, interior LED work lighting.

Frequently asked questions
Which car transporter do I need for an electric car?
Use the actual weight from the registration document (mass in running order), often 2000–2500 kg. A GRAVITY 27.45 (650 kg unladen) carries 2050 kg, or approx. 2350 kg with the 3000 kg option. For heavier EVs choose the SCORPIO at 3500 kg (payload up to 2830 kg) or the FORMULA 35.60.
Which driving licence do I need?
With a 2700 to 3500 kg trailer the combination almost always exceeds 3500 kg: a BE licence, or B with code 96 if the combination stays under 4250 kg. The SCORPIO can be registered at a lower gross weight (from 1500 kg, in 50 kg steps) to suit a lighter tow car or licence.
Can I drive at 100 km/h?
TA-NO supplies a 100 km/h certificate; in Germany (Tempo 100) this, together with the tow vehicle requirements, is the basis for the 100 km/h sticker. In the Netherlands and Belgium the national limit for combinations applies. Your dealer will tell you what is allowed in your situation.
Tilting or hydraulic?
Gravity tilt (GRAVITY) is light, affordable and low-maintenance: the car's weight tilts the platform. Electro-hydraulic (FORMULA) also loads non-runners without help, with the winch on remote control. A hydraulic tilt system is available as an option on the GRAVITY.
Does a van fit on a car transporter?
A 5.5 m, 2600 kg van fits lengthwise on the SCORPIO 55/60, the FORMULA 35.60 or the TRIO; by weight only on versions with at least 2700 kg payload. The tool shows it exactly.
Can I carry two cars at once?
The TRIO (8.5 or 9.0 m) takes two compact cars if their combined weight stays under the payload (2435–2575 kg). In practice: two small cars, or one car plus a long vehicle.
Steel or aluminium platform?
GRAVITY has a perforated steel platform (LOHR holes for grip and lashing across the whole surface), FORMULA high-strength aluminium panels and TRIO an aluminium anti-slip platform; SCORPIO has LOHR aluminium side cladding as standard. All models: EU type approval (COC), 100 km/h certificate, and TA-NO has built trailers for 25 years under ISO 9001.
