Choose a car transporter on three things: the weight of the heaviest car you move, its length and width, and how low it sits. A low sports car or classic needs a flat loading angle; a commercial vehicle mainly needs payload. TA-NO builds open transporters with a tilting or fixed bed and enclosed transporters that double as a workshop or storage. The configurator shows payload, bed size and standard equipment per version.
Frequently asked questions
How much payload do I need for a car?
Take the car's weight in running order from the registration document and add luggage, tools or a spare wheel. Choose a transporter whose payload is comfortably above that.
Open or enclosed car transporter?
An open transporter is lighter, cheaper and quick to load. An enclosed one protects the car from weather and stone chips and doubles as storage or a trackside workshop.
Which driving licence do I need?
A B licence lets you tow a trailer up to 750 kg, or heavier as long as car and trailer together stay within 3500 kg. Code 96 allows a combination up to 4250 kg. Beyond that, for a trailer up to 3500 kg, you need a BE licence. This applies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
