Livestock trailers
Premium livestock trailers by M-TEC in 12 and 14 ft, tandem and tridem. Parabolic suspension, rubber floor matting, 3 mm aluminium sidewalls, integrated LED. Built by an Irish farming family for farmers who move animals every day.
Choose a livestock trailer on the number and kind of animals, internal height and how you load. Horses and large cattle need more headroom; sheep can travel on two levels with decks. Look at suspension, a non-slip floor, good ventilation and a ramp with a gentle angle. M-TEC builds livestock trailers in 12 and 14 ft, in standard and extra-high versions, and with sheep decks.
Frequently asked questions
12 or 14 ft?
A 14 ft trailer gives more floor for more animals but is longer and heavier. Choose on the number of animals you usually move at once.
Which internal height do I need?
Standard height suits sheep and calves; a taller version is better for large cattle and horses. Ask your dealer for the exact size per version.
Which driving licence do I need?
A B licence lets you tow a trailer up to 750 kg, or heavier as long as car and trailer together stay within 3500 kg. Code 96 allows a combination up to 4250 kg. Beyond that, for a trailer up to 3500 kg, you need a BE licence. This applies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
